This PAID after-school internship program provides up to four Southwest Baltimore residents ages 14-21 job readiness training through community organizing, community green space maintenance, and event planning. 

 

The program operates from September through May of each year, and has a focus on helping student-employees build and apply communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills in a professional setting. 

 

The program supplements summer employment offered through Baltimore City Youthworks. All youth receive mentoring and job-coaching.

  • Wage:  $15 per hour

  • Schedule:  Flexible; Hours are available between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday

  • Eligibility:  Applicants must have completed the five-week Youthworks Summer Training Program

This PAID summer employment program provides up to four West Baltimore residents ages 14-21 job readiness training through community organizing, community green space maintenance, and event planning. 

The program operates for  five weeks each summer, and has a focus on preparing students for success in the workplace and in their communities. 

 

The program is a Baltimore City Youthworks site operated by the University of Maryland, Baltimore. 

  • Wage:  $10.10 per hour

  • Schedule: 

    • Mondays:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    • Tuesdays:  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    • Wednesdays:  10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    • Thursdays:  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    • Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Eligibility:  Applicants must be approved by Youthworks, and must live in West Baltimore
