The Baltimore Orchard Project plants its 1,000th tree at Pop! Farm

April 28, 2016

Today, the Baltimore Orchard Project planted its 1,000th community tree at Pop! Farm! The Baltimore Orchard Project plants orchards throughout the city and teaches community members to care for the trees, providing longterm access to fruit when it's in season. They've partnered with Pop! Farm to plant a variety of fruit trees, including apple, pear, and serviceberry, with James McHenry's Garden Club students. Additionally, they pruned a mulberry tree for us and will be helping us harvest mulberries this year!
